A new adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel, Is Murder Easy?


When a new TV movie based on a novel by the Queen of Crime, Agatha Christie, is released, it's always an event... And that's exactly what's happening with the new series, Is Murder Easy? produced by Mammoth Screen and Agatha Christie Limited, soon to be broadcast on BBC1 and IPlayer as well as on Britbox International's streaming services. The director is Meenu Gaur, while the screenplay is by Sjän Ejwummi-Le Berre. The film was shot in Scotland during the summer of 2023.

David Jonsson will play Fitzwilliam and Morfydd Clark will play Bridget. Penelope Wilton, already spotted in Downton Abbey as Isobel Grey, will be Miss Pinkerton and Tom Riley will play Lord Whitfield, while Douglas Hernshall will be in Major Horton's shoes. Matthew Baynton and Mark Bonnar will play Dr Thomas and Reverend Humbleby respectively.

In 1954, in England, Miss Pinkerton, on a train bound for London, tells Mr Fitzwilliam that a killer is on the loose in the peaceful village of Wychwood-Under-Ashe... The villagers, she confides, think that the deaths are mere accidents, but Miss Pinkerton is convinced that they are not! When poor Miss Pinkerton is found dead on her way to Scotland Yard, Mr Fitzwilliam feels compelled to act and find out...
